Beverly Beaumont, Founder and Chief Executive Zombie of ZAPT (Zombies Are People Too
[At Least We Used To Be]), released the following statement this morning.
"We here at ZAPT, Zombies Are People Too (At Least We Used to Be), protest PETP's
protest this week of Angus MacAbre's Modest Proposal to Prevent Riffraff from Ruining
this year's Halloween Celebration on State Street in Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday,
"PETP's protest is utterly despicable and zombie-phobic. Moreover, it's yet another
example of PETP exploiting others' innovative ideas to push their own pro-people,
"We're not saying that we're against people. Not at all. As the parenthetical
insertion in our name makes clear, we used to be people. But we are sick and tired
of the prejudice and discrimination that we zombies face on a daily basis."
